** Grants News **
The Community Foundation operates primarily in York, North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire, and more recently expanding to cover Kingston upon Hull and the Humber region.
We run a number of grant schemes that each have their own criteria and cover different geographical areas. Applicants are advised to read the guidelines carefully before applying, to ensure that their project is eligible and based in the appropriate geographic area for the grant scheme they are applying to.

Grassroots Grants 2010/11 - Update
Since the Grassroots programme for 2010/11 reopened in March 2010 we have been inundated with applications. Due to the overwhelming success of Grassroots grants in North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire the decision to close the application process (as previously advertised) on Friday 16th April 2010 has been confirmed. We are therefore not accepting any further applications from North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire.
We are still accepting Grassroots applications for projects based in York. We would urge any interested groups in York to complete their application forms as soon as possible as 2010/11 is the final year of Grassroots funding and all projects must be complete by 31st March 2011.
