Grassroots Grants 

York & North Yorkshire Community Foundation is delighted to be part of the government's new Grassroots programme. The Foundation has been selected to manage the programme in York and East Yorkshire, and will be working with Hull CVS to manage the programme in Hull. The arrangements for North Yorkshire have not yet been finalised.

Grants of up to £5,000 will be available to small community groups with a turnover of less than £20,000. Application packs and further details of the application process will be available in September.

Evaluation of Grant Making in York & North Yorkshire

Earlier this year the Foundation conducted research into the impact of our grant making. We were inspired by some of the stories and feedback we received. Community Foundation grants continue to provide benefit beyond the purely financial, encouraging community involvement, and helping to build capacity and confidence in groups.
